Finding the best mobile phone plan in Italy is never easy, with new promotions launching almost every week and many of them reserved for customers switching from a specific carrier. This guide rounds up every plan that is currently active in September 2026 from Very Mobile, TIM, ho.Mobile, Lyca Mobile, WindTre and Vodafone, including data allowances, activation terms and a direct link to sign up for each one.

This list is updated for September 2026 and reviewed regularly. A plan is treated as active unless it has a stated end date that has already passed; where a plan does have an expiry date, it is noted alongside the offer.

Very Mobile: light plans starting at €5.99

Very Mobile offers four plans aimed mainly at customers switching from Iliad, CoopVoce, PosteMobile and other virtual operators, all valid from September 1 to October 1, 2026.

  • €5.99/month: 150GB on 5G, with one month free included.
  • €6.99/month: 200GB with 5G included.
  • €7.99/month: 300GB with 5G included.
  • €14.99/month: limited edition with unlimited data on full-speed 5G.

TIM: Wonder, Titanium Orange and Power Supreme

TIM covers almost every need, from general online plans to plans dedicated to number porting, including two just-launched offers.

  • TIM Wonder, €9.99/month: 100GB on 5G Ultra, unlimited minutes and 200 SMS. The SIM costs €10 (€5 of included credit plus €5 activation), but the online promo makes the first month and activation free.
  • TIM Titanium Orange, €10.99/month: 200GB on 5G Ultra, unlimited minutes and 200 SMS. Also an online-only promo with the first month and activation free.
  • TIM Power Supreme Orange Web, €7.99/month: for customers porting from WindTre and Very Mobile, including 200GB on 5G Basic (12GB usable in the EU), unlimited minutes, 200 SMS and the base profile included for free instead of €3.99/month. Available since September 16, 2026.
  • TIM Power Supreme Red Web, €7.99/month: for customers porting from Vodafone, ho. Mobile and Fastweb, with the same terms as the Orange version. Also available since September 16, 2026.

ho.Mobile: up to 250GB and discounted activation for MVNO switchers

ho.Mobile offers four data tiers at rising prices, with a notable activation discount for customers coming from virtual operators such as Poste Mobile, Iliad, CoopVoce, Daily, Kena, Lyca Mobile or Tiscali (€2.99 activation instead of €29.90).

  • €5.95/month: 100GB and unlimited minutes. Note: only valid from September 2 to September 24, 2026.
  • €6.95/month: 150GB, active since August 28, 2026.
  • €8.95/month: 250GB, active since August 28, 2026.

Lyca Mobile: eight porting-focused plans with 5G Max and EU roaming

Lyca Mobile offers the widest range of plans, almost all reserved for number porting, with notable differences in 5G speed and included EU roaming data. None of them carry an expiry date, so all are currently active.

  • 5G Portin 599, €5.99/month: 5G up to 2 Gbps, 150GB, unlimited minutes and SMS, 9GB of EU/UK/Switzerland/Ukraine/Moldova roaming. Porting only, with the first two renewals free after month one.

WindTre: dual pricing depending on your current carrier

WindTre's September 2026 plans change price depending on which operator you're porting from, but all include free activation. They run from June 23 to September 30, 2026, so only a few days remain to sign up.

  • 200GB and unlimited minutes: €5.99/month for customers from Iliad, PosteMobile or CoopVoce, or €10.99/month for those from TIM, Kena, Vodafone or ho.Mobile.
  • Unlimited data and minutes: €9.99/month for customers from Iliad, PosteMobile, CoopVoce, Tiscali, Fastweb or other operators not listed as exceptions.
  • 250GB and unlimited minutes: €6.99/month for customers from Tiscali or other smaller operators.

Vodafone: the Start, Pro and Ultra standard plans

Vodafone's plans are not part of our affiliate program, but we include them as a useful benchmark: they are standard catalogue offers with no stated expiry date, a €10 activation fee and free SIM shipping.

  • Vodafone START, €9.95/month: 150GB, unlimited minutes* and 200 SMS, 32GB usable in the EU, Switzerland and UK, Wifi Calling included, with an optional Fastweb Power Control add-on for home energy monitoring.
  • Vodafone Pro, €11.95/month: 250GB, unlimited minutes* and 200 SMS, 45GB usable in the EU, Switzerland and UK, Wifi Calling included, Fastweb Power Control add-on available.
  • Vodafone Ultra, €19.95/month: unlimited data*, unlimited minutes* and 200 SMS, unlimited data* also in the EU, Switzerland and UK, 5GB usable outside the EU plus up to 1000 minutes from Italy, health assistance insurance with Quixa, Rete Sicura online protection, monthly Vodafone Club perks, Wifi Calling included, and the Fastweb Power Control add-on available.

How to choose the right plan for you

Before activating a new SIM, it's worth checking how much data you actually use each month, whether the plan requires porting from a specific carrier (as with many TIM, ho.Mobile, Lyca Mobile and WindTre plans), any hidden activation fees, and the host network's coverage in your area.

Plans with stricter porting requirements tend to have the lowest prices, while plans open to everyone or standard catalogue plans like Vodafone's are usually more expensive but simpler to activate.

In summary

As of September 2026, Italy's mobile market remains highly competitive, with plans starting at €5.99/month for 150-200GB. Very Mobile, ho.Mobile and Lyca Mobile remain among the cheapest options for customers without strict requirements, TIM and WindTre mainly reward those switching carriers, and Vodafone remains a solid choice for anyone wanting its own network. Several plans, especially WindTre's and ho.Mobile's €5.95 offer, expire by the end of September, so always check the validity dates before activating.
