Where to watch the Champions League 2026/2027: Sky, NOW and Amazon Prime Video

The 2026/2027 Champions League started on 7 July 2026 with the first qualifying round. The league phase begins on 8 September 2026 and runs across eight matchdays through 27 January 2027. Then come the play offs, round of 16, quarter finals and semi finals, leading up to the final on 5 June 2027 at the Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid.

If you just want to know where to watch the matches without wasting time, here is where things stand.

Who broadcasts the matches

This is the final season of the current 2024 to 2027 rights cycle, and coverage works the same way it has for the past two editions. Matches are split between two broadcasters.

Sky carries the vast majority of the tournament, 185 of the season's 203 matches, including every knockout stage fixture except one match per round. You can watch on satellite channels or stream through NOW, which brings the same content as Sky without needing a satellite dish.

Amazon Prime Video exclusively carries the best Wednesday match of each league phase matchday, as it has since 2021.

So if you want to watch the entire season, including every Wednesday fixture, you need both Sky or NOW and Amazon Prime. There is no single subscription that covers everything.

One more thing worth knowing. UEFA has already awarded the rights for the next cycle, running from 2027 to 2031. Sky stays the main partner, and Amazon Prime Video will expand its package slightly starting in 2027/28. For this 2026/2027 season though, the current setup still applies.

If you go with Sky

The package is called Sky Calcio and it's available by satellite, by fibre through Sky Stream or Sky Glass, or by streaming through NOW. Alongside the Champions League it includes Serie C, part of the Premier League and Bundesliga, and the Sky Sport 24 channel.

Pricing depends on whatever promotion is running when you sign up and usually comes with an 18 month commitment. It's always worth checking the current offer on the official site before subscribing, since it changes often.

If you go with NOW

NOW gives you the same sports content as Sky through its Sport Pass, but as pure streaming with nothing to install. The list price is 29.99 euros a month, renewed monthly with no commitment. NOW also regularly offers a 12 month annual plan at a discounted rate for the first year, which then reverts to list price on renewal. If you also watch films and TV series, there's a combined pass covering Sport, Cinema and Entertainment together.

Promotions change constantly, so check the current terms whenever you activate your subscription.

If you already have Amazon Prime

Here's the good news. You don't need anything extra. The Wednesday match is included in a regular Amazon Prime membership, the same one you probably already use for shipping. It costs 4.99 euros a month or 49.90 euros a year, which works out cheaper over time. University students pay 24.95 euros a year with Prime Student.

If you're already an Amazon Prime member for shopping, you already have access to part of the Champions League without realizing it.

Figuring out what you actually need

It comes down to how many matches you want to follow. To watch the whole tournament you need both Sky or NOW and Amazon Prime. If you only care about your own team, it's worth checking which slot their matches usually fall into, Wednesday or another day, before choosing a subscription. If you already have Sky for Serie A, you already have access to most of the Champions League and just need to decide whether Amazon Prime is worth adding for the Wednesday matches. If you already have Amazon Prime for shopping, part of the tournament is already covered, and you can decide whether NOW is worth adding for the rest.
