Where to watch the Champions League 2026/2027: Sky, NOW and Amazon Prime Video

The 2026/2027 Champions League kicked off on 7 July 2026 with the first qualifying round. The league phase starts on 8 September 2026 and runs across eight matchdays until 27 January 2027. Then come the playoffs, round of 16, quarter-finals and semi-finals, leading up to the final on 5 June 2027 at the Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid.

If you just want to know where to watch the matches without wasting time, here's where things stand.

Who broadcasts the matches

For this season, the last of the 2024/2027 rights cycle, the situation is the same as the previous two editions. Matches are split between two broadcasters.

Sky broadcasts the vast majority of the competition: 185 out of 203 matches, including every knockout stage tie except one per round. You can watch on Sky Sport channels, via satellite or fibre, or in streaming with NOW, which effectively carries the same content without needing a satellite dish.

Amazon Prime Video exclusively broadcasts the best Wednesday match of every league-phase matchday, as it has done since 2021.

So if you want to watch every match of the season, including the Wednesday ones, you need both Sky or NOW and Amazon Prime. There's no single subscription that covers everything.

One more thing worth knowing: UEFA has already awarded the rights for the next cycle, from 2027 to 2031. Sky remains the main partner, while Amazon Prime Video will slightly expand its package from the 2027/28 season. But for this 2026/2027 season, the current structure still applies.

Heads up: Sky Calcio alone isn't enough

It's a common mix-up: the Sky Calcio package does not include the Champions League. Sky Calcio carries Serie A Enilive (3 out of 10 matches per matchday), Serie C, and part of the Premier League and Bundesliga, but the European cups (Champions League, Europa League and Conference League) are broadcast exclusively on the Sky Sport channels.

So to watch the Champions League on Sky you need a package that includes Sky Sport, not Sky Calcio on its own.

If you choose Sky

Sky offers a few different combinations depending on whether you're only interested in the Champions League or in Serie A too:

If you choose NOW

The list price is €29.99 a month, renewing monthly with no commitment. NOW also often runs an annual deal, such as 12 months at the price of 8 for €19.99/month with a 12-month commitment (it then renews at the list price). If you already have Amazon Prime

Here's the good news: you don't need anything extra. The Wednesday match is included in a regular Amazon Prime subscription, the one you probably already use for shipping. It costs €4.99 a month or €49.90 a year, which is better value over time. University students pay €24.95 a year with Prime Student.

If you're already an Amazon Prime customer for shopping, you already have access to part of the Champions League without knowing it.

Figuring out what you actually need

It depends on how many matches you want to follow. To watch the entire tournament you need both Sky or NOW and Amazon Prime, and in both cases a package that includes Sky Sport (not Sky Calcio on its own). If you're only interested in your own team, it's worth checking beforehand which slot their matches tend to fall in more often, Wednesday or the other days. If you already have Sky Sport, you already have access to most of the Champions League and only need to decide whether to add Amazon Prime for the Wednesday matches. If you already have Amazon Prime for shopping, you already have part of the tournament covered, and can decide whether to add NOW or Sky Sport for the rest.
